I agree what prof. has said about wasila but he has not taken the wasila explaination from nehjul balagha,in which maula says" behtreen wasila jis se taquarrube Elahi hasil ho sakta hai woh Allah aur us ke paighamber par eman lana...namaz kayam karna,zakat dena......( this is with refrence to explaination of surate maidah ayat no 35.
