I'm glad someone addresses the scholar publically. There has been this big growth of pop Shia Islam I used to listen to his speeches but I avoid them now for things like this that he has said.

This is seen in the Quran when he says " I ask you no reward of it(preaching prophethood) except love for my family". So this brother should not be saying things just to prove his point and critisizing a fellow scholar without speaking to him. As Sayed Ammar was speaking about contracts not big money speakers.

He is completely taking what Sayed Ammar said out of context. I do not want to be like those who disrespect the scholars, but he is also using things which are not true to prove his point. This is the senselessness of our communities. That Ammar sits on the pulpit and abuses all scholars who do not demand as Disease, instead of criticizing Ammar there are many supporting him... In Islam Means justifies the End. If he is delivering good content but for money than means are not pure, so the end is not justified at all...

Scholars have to live , so are the hosts so stingy that they do not give them any Hadiya? This is greed which Ammar has for money. How many such other scholars are there who demand high money and luxuries? So how are they surviving... Another point is those who do not demand how come they are Disease to a society. So Ammar wants everyone to demand?

Shaheed Mutahhari (r.a) says: Those who demand money for delivering lectures, they are dipping their food in the blood of Sayyed ush Shuhada Imam Hussain (a.s) and eating it.

There are some knowledgeable person who want to only benefit wealthy people and they deprive oppressed and poor people from their knowledge, these people will go to the third level of Hell - Hadith of Imam Sadiq ref. Khisaal Sheikh Sadiq

@abbasbil, amazing to see that you are defending Ammar. Akhi how can it be justified to establish a norm or culture which is simply not in line with the teachings of Quran, Prophet, & Ahlulbayt (a.s)? Please provide references where any divine Prophet or infallible Imams promoted the culture of "charging" insane amount of money to deliver the msg?

And for ur kindest information no one charges money the same way as it is done for a football match or a movie....it is just that the jaffariya association trust invite him and they pay him....why are u worried as if it is being asked from u or from any of the audience!!!!

Common Mr Maulana if you are invited elsewhere what assurance can u give that u will not charge money???? will u deliver ur speech for free??? people have families and their homes to look after....after all no one is a saint....he has done so much of research and i completely agree that he deserves it...

I dont know who this man is but he is just misinterpreting Sayed Ammar!!! This is really wrong on his part!!! Those were imams...You cant compare them to the speakers these days!!!
