A Saudi Shia Muslim has been sentenced to thirty years in prison for throwing petrol bombs at security forces during a protest against Riyadh\\\'s intervention in Bahrain in 2011. The defendant was found guilty of violence and taking part in protests in Qatif in Eastern Province. Saudi Arabia has intervened in Bahrain by sending troops to keep down an uprising there. The uprising in Bahrain is demanding democratic reforms for the Shia majority. The prosecutor had originally demanded the death penalty and is now expected to appeal to a higher court. Show Less >>
